Great nose of white flowers, lanolin, pear, green melon and limestone. Fat and ripe palate, stone fruit, an almost tropical note of pineapple and chalk. If only the palate was as vibrant as the nose.

We had this at a friends 7/5/14 backyard BBQ. It had a rich, fragrant bouquet of pear, tropical fruit, mineral and spice aromas. The palate was rich, fresh and crisp with flavors of pear, pineapple, mineral and spice.

As per last note - 1 year later - drinking fine and at perfect QPR. Comes off a little more to full bodied and high on sugar/fruit content. Less on the acid. Apricot/stone fruit and light floral notes... Great summer vino and late afternoon lake wine that carries over to dinner just fine.
A very nice change from same old Sauv B or Pinot G that people pull out...

Pretty good: decent weight, bit of mineral zing. The IWC note is apt; some honey texture, pit fruit, spice. For me, too heavy to enjoy alone: needs some meaty food to accompany. Perhaps pork tenderloin or roast chicken breast.
