UWS a random set of wines (@ JB): Beautiful dark berries and cherries in the bouquet. On the palate beautiful dark berries, good acidity, vanilla and some sweetness. Great concentration and round tannin. 88 - 89

Blueberries grown on Tobacco Road under an oak tree. Only decanted for about 30 minutes and maybe it just needed a little longer. Has a bunch of nice flavor components, but they come at you in serial fashion instead of being integrated, so the whole thing comes off disjointed.
6/7/2020 Let this one rest for an hour before I poured. Don't know if that made all the difference, but I clearly liked this bottle better than the previous one. Very nicely integrated with the black and blue fruit transitioning nicely to a subtle bit of oak and then just a pop of acidity. Finish was a bit short, but otherwise hard to complain about this one.
10/31/2020 Ditto to the recent note versus my first one. Sorry to see this one go.

Monthly Tasting Group HWS #115; Malbec Worldwide (By SB): Primary cherries, dark berries, coffee and graphite in the bouquet. Same on the palate, vanilla, some smoke, laurel and sweet licorice root, good acidity, but overall a bit too much sweetness. 87 - 88
