  • The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like cherry, blackberry and blueberry. It tastes like blackberry, blueberry and cherry. The body is medium/full. The wine has juicy texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has high acidity.

  • Mmm...grapey. Fairly dark, full-bodied, and grippy for a Fleurie. Lively berry/grape flavors. Enjoyable now, but will probably improve over the next few years.

  • While this certainly won't be as pleasurable as the Grand Cru Riesling I had earlier, I'm sure I'll enjoy it enough. Notes:
Light-bodied, going from a ruby red core fading into an almost pink edge and a watery meniscus. Almost nothing but fruit on the nose, kind of like synthetic dark cherry flavor. Pretty decent amount of acidity and a little more tannin than I was expecting. Raspberry/darker red fruit flavors with some very, very light earthiness coming through at the end. Finish lasted a little longer than expected, sour cherry flavors dominating.
Surprised by this. Not what I would typically like to drink but ultimately a fun wine.
