  Opaque crimson in color, this wine shows funky aromas of black truffle, game, menthol as well as subtle baking chocolate. The mouth feel is very full bodied with more earthy, iron elements as well as espresso. The finish brings tight, firm tannins but little fruit.
  
  Brought to a work seminar by my boss from his personal cellar, this bottle was reluctant to open up and develop over the 60 plus minutes it was open. The wine was also decanted 30 minutes prior to tasting.
