Prune like fruit nose with edges of dark chocolate and a little brown sugar. Not very intense. The prune fruit is also on the palate together with some nice dark chocolate. Pretty nice acidity and about to loose the sweet edge. Should not be kept any longer as the wine is not getting any better.

Outstanding wine. This wine would certainly hold up to many more years of cellaring. This wine was part of a wine and soup paring party that I did. This wine was pared with an Italian Wedding soup. I varied it a little as I put fennel and spinach in the soup instead of endive. The soup and the wine were the hit of the party.

Brick-ish color. Bee wax, candle wax, incense, pencil on the nose. Overripe plum in the taste. Plum candy finish. Delicious and complex!

Slightly corked and musty odor diminished with decanting. Flavors of leather.
