AP 16, from 375. Effusive notes of tropical fruit on the nose: papaya and guava maybe, with some honey in the background. Surprisingly light and fresh on the palate for such obviously ripe characteristics on the nose. This is fresh and bright and playful in the best Prüm style. The finish is endless, of course. Really quite unevolved at age 10, this needs more time to show additional complexity and reveal itself.

Coche and Cathiard: Guava, honey, quince, orange, pear and lemon on the nose. More delicate and pure on the palate, with the intensity of the nose taking a small step back to let the acidity give the wine great drive and flow. The sweetness is there but it plays really well with the brightness of the fruit and acid. Give it another 10 years minimum to see some development.

Coche & Cathiard -- Go Big Then Go Home (Double Bay, Sydney): Really coming together beautifully, with ripe tropical pineapple, lychee and honey notes along with touches of sulfur and spice. In perfect balance already, but age should enhance its subtle appeal.

Drunk young, so lots of potential left on the table, but brilliant poise and energy. Tropical and racy. Hard to put down.
