From Magnum. Tasted with a lot of distractions in an informal setting. Perfumed, perfectly mature and a lot of fun to drink. Expressive notes of sweet red fruit, tar, some smoke, balsamic notes too, also some brown sugar. It's pretty full-bodied and dense, with medium acidity and medium slightly rustic tannin. Good length. A perfectly mature aged Barolo that is in a perfect drinking window right now. The only thing it was suffering from was the very stiff competition of the Brovia Barolo 150 Anniversario 2005 and the Bartolo Mascarello Barolo 2008 that were drank next to it...

good solid aged barolo (as i gen'ly expect from Manzoni), red fruited, slight oranging when poured, darker / younger color when in glass, nose is nice, a bit woody over fruit or florals, palate is grapey, enough grip to avoid flabby, relative four square and primary at this point but not sure it has the materially to be a much better wine in ten years, i would drink this over the next 5-7 (my guess), solid but beat out by the '89 Prunotto Barbaresco Montestefano on this halloween night
