Community Tasting Notes (7) Median Score: 92 points

  • Golden color. Almost looks like an orange wine. This twelve plus year old wine still tastes young. I thought it would be a "gonner", but this white wine is still going strong and will last several more years. Heavily extracted with an endless finish, I chose to see if this white would age well and it did! Well balanced and begging for food. 91 to 92 points. Drinking at peak. Addendum: Just bought more of the 2019.

  • Garagiste selection. 13.5% ABV

Color: deep yellow orange with noticable legs
Nose: medium intentsity. Complex aromas of dried white fruits and herbs. Toasty aromas, probably a result of some oxidation. Unique
Body/flavor: medium body. Complex flavors of dried fruit. Still well-balanced
    Aftertaste: short finish

Very traditional approach -- grapes grown on 2 hectares on 240 meter hill. Grapes crushed by feet and juice fermented in small concrete vats; spontaneous fermentation.

  • Deep deep almost orange color with trace of oxidation. Peach flower nose and sweet start giving way to a gorgeous mouthful of dried apple and caramel. Strange and delightful. Drink now as this is evolving and probably won’t last much longer.

  • Golden hue not unlike a well aged Sauterne. Floral nose beckons you to taste. Nice fruity well balanced palate. A little bitter and hot on the finish. Rich and heavily extracted for a white wine. Drinking well, but don't press your luck. Drink soon.

  • Best Pecorino I've tasted. Thick, oily and unctuous. Great match for highly flavored fish dishes. Stands up well to salmon.Disagree with taster who noted "oxidized style". Drinks well now. Well balanced and age worthy.
