Light translucent ruby in the glass; a reticent/"dilute" nose that hints at rose water. The nose does open up a bit with agitation.
Much better on the palate; bright red fruits and reasonable persistence, with adequate acidity. Probably my last bottle, but still a decent pizza wine.

Translucent ruby in the glass; ripe red fruits on the nose.
Light- to medium-bodied on the palate, reasonable persistence for a Rosso - not bad.
I like La Gerla as an "every day" drinking Brunello, but find that the quality of their Rosso can be a little variable from year to year - this vintage strikes me as a good one.

Still a very nice wine with fruit and freshness. Worth the wait. Last bottle.

My last bottle of this (I think).
A darker ruby at the core, lightening out to translucence on the rim. The wine has a funky note right now - we'll see if this blows off.
Ripe red fruits on a somewhat dilute frame - not bad, but can't hold it's own against the Monsanto CCR I just wrote about.

Basic Italian table red. A bit meaty, stewed fruit, overly stewed. A bit angular and finishes a bit astringent.
