1 hour slow ox; full bodied, beautiful and lush, dark fruits, spice, cedar. Never had this before tonight and was delighted I found it by reading other’s reviews.

Was surprised by how long this wine needed to open up. Decanted for a solid 4 hours before alcohol and tannins started to subside. Once they mellowed out though, the blueberry mountain fruit opened up with a long mineral finish. 96+ but going to let the second bottle sit for some time.

Another Year, Another Napa (aka Winter in Wineland IV); 1/5/2020-1/11/2020 (Napa/Sonoma California): Opened and decanted and poured later in the evening. This is still very young and I'd say continue to hold, but man was it also really good. My WOTN. And it just kept getting better and better as we went. Some of the baby fat and tightness is gone. It's got lovely black fruits and spices and this lovely depth and vibrancy to it. Very special and a real treat to get to try.

30 minute decant in the glass. Expressive nose of cedar, plum, black cherry and bakers chocolate. Taste is similar but sweeter (more cherry and chocolate) and with a silky mouthfeel. Medium well integrated tannins and balanced acidity. Full bodied. Really nice. 94-95.

When I think of Napa Cab, I think about a wine like this. Full throttle blackberry in your face. This one has a lot of blueberry, cinnamon and baking spice. Finished with tannin that has started to settle out (a little bit of sediment in the bottom of this bottle). Black pepper on the finish. Full bodied cab. Going to last another 15 years easy. I am going to hold the other bottle a few years as I think that the perfect drinking window on this one is around 2020. Can easily to go 2032. A 96 point stunner easily. Very impressed by this wine.
