A pinch of sourness makes the wine alive and fresh. Creamy, smooth and round in the mouth; and with a very long persistence that gives the pleasant bitterness of the apricot.
Drinking this old Chateau Carbonnieux Blanc, because of its surprising longevity, freshness and richness, has become a sublime experience.

This was my second and last bottle - not as in good shape as the first but drinkable with a good Citeaux - this one was more oxidized and had Less fruit.

This was a lovely surprise - that it wasn’t dead. Quite interesting nose of dried fruit, nuts and mushrooms and ditto taste. A little short finish but for the cheap price a fun and rewarding experiment

Opened and poured, this wine did not show well. This bottle suggests that wine may be years past its prime with oxidized notes on the bouquet and palate. It should be noted that this bottle was not purchased on release and only acquired about two years ago. Its storage is unknown between its release and 2010.
