Memorial Day get together; 5/28/2016-5/29/2016: One of our close friends brought this over for us to try. This was a pop and pour. The nose was very floral and had an interesting spice like quality to it. The flavor profile for a Cabernet solving young was very interesting and unique. It was not a fruit dominant profile at all. It is predominantly Nutmeg, clove, vanilla. There's also some tobacco. It was consumed quickly, so I never was able to see how it evolves over time. I'll be looking to pick up another bottle in the future

Tasted at the winery from magnum, this opaque crimson Cabernet is ripe, rich and packed with black fruit. Nicely supported by dark chocolate, baking spices, pipe tobacco and toasted oak, it is a full-bodied offering with fresh acidity, plentiful sweet tannins and nicely integrated alcohol (15.2%). Dense in the middle and closing with some tannic grip, it should benefit from additional cellaring (assuming magnum format). Drink 2018-2035.

This wine is just entering its drinking window. It's still a year or two away from prime time, but with enough decanting this is basically ready to go. It has a great nose that you can smell across the room. We enjoyed it with steak burgers.

Small taste. From magnum. This was ok, showed better than the Ladera, black fruit, ripe, but this is fairly well balanced, tart palate.
