Still delicious but perhaps becoming rounder and more civilised as the months pass; a mixed blessing with a grape as individual as Négrette. Nevertheless I will buy more if not sold out.

P 'n p. Smells like dark fruit - just ripe, with some attractive wildness to it - with peppery spice, violet, dry scrub, and dry earth. Rustic, in a good way. Similar on the palate, with assertive rocky, ferreous, mineral earthiness (contributing to a very dry finish). Fairly light and drinkable, with decent acidity and discernible but moderate tannins. Bordering on austere on its own, at least in the finish, but with a friendly, juicy side which is especially evident with food. Worked very well with pan fried pork kidneys with hot mustard and bread. Characterful and enjoyable wine.

"Crazy black" is apparently what it means. Hard and mineral on the palate but easing in with some plush fruit character as well. Violets and black pepper. Works it out at $15 or so.

I've not much to add or subtract from my last TN on this fruity, velvety and quaffable medium bodied wine other than to wonder whether I might not tire of its original flavour profile if I had it too often.

Très beau fruit et tanins croquants mais fin de bouche désagréable, oxydée, vinification très naturelle?
