This is a very interesting wine that resembles Fino Jerez in some ways. It is very dry and has a yeasty character. It also has some orange, honey and light acidity. It is heavy on the tongue.

Do not be put off by the color of this wine, which is a dark gold, slightly orange hue. As the Montenidoli web site states, the must macerates long on the skins before fermenting.
This is a big, complex white wine that is better when it is closer to room temp. On the tongue there are nice layers of orange peel, honey, ginger snap and honeysuckle. The acidity is crisp and the finish is medium long.

Peach and something faintly herbal on the nose. On the palate, peach, mango, and a geranium-like spicy note, with good acidity and an unctuous texture; medium finish. Good value at about $17.
