Blue, dark, strict on day 1. A bit dry, a mark from the 50% new oak regime. Much worse on day 2 where the fruit seems to be fading behind the oak notes. Too bad.

Some minerals on the nose, taste a bit harsh, doesnt really come together. Some spice, hints of primary fruit, lacks a bit of local feel. On day 2: a wee bit better, but the concentration still stands out as the singular trait of this wine. #Bagnols-en-Forêt#PB

Still very polished and marked by heavy intervention in the cellar even if the oak is now more integrated and subtle. There’s a dark nuance to the fruit, gentle spices underneath. Might get better with further aging, but enjoyed next to the 2000 Pallieres and and the 2003 Santa Duc HG, this lacked character.

Surprisingly drinking very well now in 2023. Still some bright-ish fruits, smooth, soft and rich mouthfeel. Very well balanced and mature.

Fully mature Gigondas, with herb tinged cherry flavors, with a hint of garrigue and olive. Still drinking very well but don't wait much longer.
