From a vintage and a producer that are highly underrated, this wine is still fresh with orange and lemon zest flavors plus some almond and just a touch of caramel. Acidity has rounded out -- probably worth drinking up over the next 4-5 years. Cellared since original release.

Consumed over 1/2 hour from a plastic cup...but even so, just lovely. Wonderfully balanced, with ripeness offset by plenty of zip. Notes of peach, apple, something floral I couldn't place, and just the beginnings of some petrol notes. This has years ahead of it, and I'd say it's the best riesling I've had in quite a while (not that I've been going through much recently, but I did like it better than an '04 Donnhoff spat I had a few weeks ago, if that says anything).
Came across overly sweet on the first sip, but with time, and warming in the glass, this really started to work. Good balance of acidity and sweetness, good complexity for a youngish wine, and very refreshing.

Brilliant light gold. Peach, apple skins, raindrop freshened honeysuckle, occasional whiff of petrol, touch of furniture wax. Very lively, though a bit too weighty to be lithe. Very pretty and succulent Riesling (great with pork chop) that the wife and I loved.
