The nose was deep and rich with floral notes, black cherry liquor, and berries.
Day 1 I forgot to remove it from the cellar ahead of time. As it warmed, the tannins were quite heavy and it had hints of prune. Not fully integrated.
Day 2 it started nicely with bright acidity, berries, black raspberry, and a hint of tar and smoke. Balanced acidity and tannins. The wine changed a lot over the course of 2 glasses. The fruit faded and the tar or smoke aspect seemed to dominate. I was disappointed that it wasn't more stable as by the end it was only OK. I'm guessing this wine won't improve with any more time.

Decanted for an hour and enjoyed over several hours. Nice wine, if not a little on the lighter side for a CDP. Probably a bad choice to pair with a steak dinner as the tannins seem a bit subdued. Seems like it’s not going to improve from here.

A bright and fruity nose with red and black fruit, pepper, floral, vanilla, and hints of tobacco and light cedar on the palate. A lot of forward fruit on this one. Medium to full bodied with silky tannins on a long finish. Paired with Red Wine Braised Short Ribs , Creamy Polenta, and Roasted Asparagus.

Not great. Flavor was too diluted.

This was better than I expected. Cherry cola and licorice on the palate with a minty finish plus some grippy fruits. Finish is on the short side.
