Light to medium red color. Red cherry and spices aromatics. Forward red fruit flavor, For Chateauneuf, it’s an unusually elegant style. Medium length. Spice flavors throughout. Personally, I like my Chateauneuf du Pape with more stuffing. Nevertheless, it’s a very good wine. Not far from maturity.

Third bottle out of 24 over a couple years. Alcohol is not as present as before. Still needs a good decanting. I foresee this turning into a gem in a few years.

It's starting to come around. The nose is slightly muted and dark. This is a big boy. Despite the high alcohol, it is imperceptible. With time and lots of air, this is a beautifully concentrated and complex wine, with loads of cherries, plums, raspberry and blackberry and some leather, iron, and a hint of lavender. It might improve... and if the alcohol stays in check it could be an even more beautiful wine.

Big body (16%) deep dark red wine. Needs an hour to open to deliver blackberry, plum and "earth" flavors. Interesting dry finish. Excellent with roast or grilled meat.

4th Saturday Brown Bagger (R&D’s): From magnum. Red berry fruit, cherry and white currant notes. Displays a soft herbal edge with air. Medium-bodied. Red fruit, herb and spice flavors. Very nice. (R&D)
