  • 1st of 12. 7 hour decant wasn’t enough. Either an off bottle or this is just way too shy to drink right now. You can tell this is packing some major structure and may develop into an inviting wine, but there may not be any fruit left when that happens. Revisit 2026 and decant for 10 hours

  • Enjoyable but was expecting more from this wine. This is balanced with good acidity, fruit and moderate tannins but there is no pop from the fruit or a lingering sweetness to this wine. This is somewhat austere. Nothing draws you into wanting to finish the bottle. Considering the price point ,age of the grapes and the heritage of the vineyard I was underwhelmed. At 10yrs + this should be better. I was not Neutral on the rating as it is still a good wine but Not a great wine. The second day there was more dark fruit flavour with prune overtones.

  • Opened with Acker in HK. P&P, but breathed for several hours before serving.

Tasted in a large flight, and consistent with my other notes: good not great. Dark fruits, not very expressive, tightly wound and needs time. Probably upside potential but not sure how enjoyable it will get.

  • This was a big bouquet of dark fruits, plums, graphite and dark raisin like berrires. Palate showed good concentration and pure dark fruits amidst a yummy and weighty body with cinnamon, meaty with chewy tannins. Very approachable now and would like to revisit in 5-7 years for sure!

I had the 2009 vintage of the same label recently but I didn't quite like it, felt that there was too much extraction and oak.. This though was lovely!

  • Huge wine, good concentration and length. Even with 10 years of age, still showing mainly primary fruits but approachable. Still a few rough edges. Good acidity level. Not sure about the aromatic profile though.
