Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 90 points

  • Ruby-black; coconut, chocolate, plums, slightly leafy, red currants; fruity, spicy, medium-full body, slightly thin mid-palate, good structure, good grip, good acidity, slightly tannic finish.
Decanted 1 hr. Intense, complex nose that kept evolving. The initial oakiness gave way to the fruit. The slight leafiness of the Cab Franc actually worked well for this wine. This proves the viability of this grape in Niagara when capably done in a good vintage. Worth every one of its 91 pts! Terrific with t-bone steak.
