ripe red fruit and some grassy notes as in the Loire, earthy smells too Ripe tannins, full texture, rich but plenty of freshness too Long finish This is great. Would love to see how it develops. Much ripe than a Loire cab franc even in a hot vintage but has the freshness

The nose is meaty, savory and dark in its bramble berry, blood and smoke notes. The palate is medium bodied with tannins that release with air. It offers flavors of asparagus, beef jerky, oranges, strawberries and cherries and shows discernible but constructive charred oak influence. A night twist on cabernet franc, I quite enjoyed this despite its slight watery sensation.

Ontario Wine Tasting: Smells like dark cherries and blackberry jam topped in celery seed and asparagus, but it actually works quite nicely. Dark and fleshy on the palate with saucy dark fruit on a frame of structured tannins and medium/low acidity. Brambly, peppery, topped in celery seed. Really opened up with a few hours and started getting more expressive. Interesting stuff.
