  Pop and pour. In the glass, pale clear ruby at the rim, shading to medium/dark ruby at the core. On the nose, cherries and cloves. On the palate, a lush, soft texture, with cherries, baking spice, moss, and a touch of pine - but this one is primarily about that soft texture. Little in the way of discernible acid or tannins, yet there is enough structure for the wine to hold together. Quite nice.

  Not a bad wine, but was just too dark and rich for my taste in pinot. I had my wife try this one blind and she didn't believe me when I told her it was a pinot.

  More full bodied than I noted with the previous bottle. Low acid, big fruit for a Pinot...but of course this is a Paul Lato.

  This fell a bit flat. Nice nose but just seemed to be lacking some energy. Still high quality and decent but writing this note a couple days later I can't really remember anything about it, and I wouldn't generally associate that thought with a Lato pinot.
