  • Medium garnet color. Intense aromas of sweet black cherries, prunes, leather, earth. Wine is full bodied, dense, balanced, concentrated. Medium acidity, still enough silky tannins, some sweetness of juice. Long finish. This mature ChdP is singing now. Excelent for mature wine lovers.

  • The first bottle was corked, but this second bottle was excellent. Dark red color and clear. Dry earth and floral notes in the bouquet. On the palate, ripe red and dark fruits, chalk and metal, rich and concentrated, with a sufficient remaining acidity. In the peak zone and may have another year or two before it starts to fade.

  • Explosive notes of kirsch, red and black cherries, blackberries, some graphite, pepper and animalic notes. It's full-bodied, dense and full-throttle with medium tannin and pretty low acidity. Good and pretty complex finish. A very pretty CdP that is totally mature. To drink up now.

  • A tiny bit over the hill, but still enjoyable. Very dark, with a nose that has distinctive notes of roasted chestnuts overlaid on bright cherry pastilles and oaky vanilla. Seems promising, but on the palate there is a slightly surmature flavor that has become a bit too prominent as the once-dominant fruit receded a bit, so you get a sense of a wine slightly out of balance, slightly flabby and even disjointed. It was better a few years ago... Better drink this up if you own it.

  • Medium ruby color. Open nose of kirsch, red cherries, some minerals. On the palate again mostly sweet red fruit, some spices, minerals and some animalic note. It’s full-bodied and dense, with medium tannin and pretty low acidity. Great length. A very pure and fully mature CdP that is a lot of fun to drink. Not super complex but a fantastic wine.
