Black tea(!) on the nose and following through on the palate. Balanced with wild strawberry but in no way a sweet wine. Decanted 90 mins and wanted twice that (as last time!). Very drying finish.

Decanted 90 mins, could have used twice that. Quite fruity with ripe black cherries mingling with spices and coffee. I’d call it medium body with good acidity, but then that swipe of not particularly fine tannins scrape your tongue at the finish. In good drinking order but years left in it.

My last bottle of the 2010. I wish I had more because each bottle has been better than the last and will continue to improve with time. Classic Brunello dried red cheery fruit, some, and still present by moderating tannins. The Cascina Nuova was a good value for Cogno but it seems prices have been going up every year.

Deep garnet red. Dark fruit and ripe dark cherry, rose, forest and a wif of tobacco. The fruit is beginning to lead towards dried sensations, so some maturity shows here. Pleasntly free of oakiness. High acidity, full body, rich bracing but fine tannins. Nicely balanced! Long pleasant fruity finish. I’m looking forward tovthw next ten years of this...

No official notes, but drinking quite nicely will a little air. Crushed red fruit and nicely balanced.
