Decanted 2 hours. Notes of dark fruit - black raspberry, plum, with hint of damp earth and spice. Still young in evolution but tannins are fairly well integrated. Paired with venison and wild boar pizza.

The Holidays With Wine (Home is where the cellar is): Perhaps it was a mistake to enter this into the lineup and it frankly is too young – I like appellation barolos at age 10 but this one needs 5 years at least. Nevertheless, it holds promise and currently shows red currant, minerals, eucalyptus, charred oak. Seemed pretty textbook to me.

Decanted for 5 hours. PnP taste had subdued tannins. After 5 hours, the color is garnet with orange rim. The nose has red fruit, some floral notes, a bit of tar, mushrooms. The palate has cherries, cranberries, black berries, leather. The wine has a medium body, firm tannins, medium acid. At this stage, it's a bit out of balance. 14.5% ABV.

Great mid weight / tannin Barolo. Still aging well at 10 years.

Nice and balanced. Fruit forward, for a Barolo. Not particularly complex.
