  Golden yellow; very intense nose, honey, exotic fruit; very rich attack with a nice acidity level to keep the voluminous creaminess in check, very concentrated (almost too much?); a really likeable “in your face” wine

  Simply magnificent right now, hands down the best CA chard we have ever had and at this point a very good QPR wine at our original acquisition price. Highly recommend. Drank during the initial social time of our wine club tasting that Kim & I hosted 7/19/22 in Hickory NC at restaurant BOCA. We had high hopes and expectations for this which were easily exceeded. Drink or hold - fully mature so no further upside to cellaring but on the other hand with proper cellaring this still has years to go at the top. Clear light amber in color, fully matured and integrated, soft mouth feel with good texture, oak still present but very controlled and this was never very strongly oaked to begin with, medium - full bodied, very smooth and with a lovely long lingering aftertaste. Warm nose with an initial hint of fizz which blew off immediately and notes of banana, yellow apple and mango present. Flavor profile not quite as warm as the nose with apple, peach, green melon, rose petal and on the finish a note of green tea. Very few CA chards will hold up this long this well but this was a high end wine to begin with and has been closely guarded in the cellar. Our last bottle of 4 bought shortly after release, you would have thought that after trying the initial bottle we would have gone back for more...

  The wine was great!! All I can say is we are starting to drink our wines while we self isolate. We were on international flights trying to get home from NZ to the US last week. I guess I should keep the bottle.
  
  We were exposed to Covid-19 and we have another week to self isolate. We have prox 800+ wines, some good, some crap and it is time to drink them. Stay safe and enjoy your wine.
