Meaty, savoury, spice, white pepper, sort of sous bois with Aussie touches of dry grass and eucalyptus. Some red fruits peek through on finish. Mouth coating tannin. Structure and length 90, flavour profile and pinosity maybe, maybe not. A pinot noir, certainly and recognisably, but atypical, without a doubt.

Gentle fragrance. Cherry, raspberry, strawberry. Rainforest, raw meat. Spice and pepper. Fresh wash of acid and very fine playful tannins, in that they seem in motion. Intriguing. Excellent but not mind blowingly so at this point. Adequate finish. Only just starting to open up after five hours, on my final glass. Wish I had left this bottle a year or two, and wish I had more than a single bottle remaining. Plan to look at that remaining bottle in five years or so.

Medium red colour. Raspberry, red cherries (and lots of them), minerals, earth. Pretty simple at this stage but it tastes young and needs time to settle and develop further.

Appearance: clear, medium, ruby. Nose: clean, medium intensity, youthful, Maraschino cherry and raspberry, with subtle oak also apparent. Palate: Dry, medium acidity, medium tannins, still young and with room to integrate, but fine grained and silky, medium alcohol, medium bodied, medium (+) flavour intensity, of flavours, surprisingly dominant red cherry flavour, along with some raspberry, strawberry and vanillin oak, lasting for a medium (+) length. Conclusions: Very Good, though perhaps needs more time to settle down, and broaden the flavour spectrum, Drink in a year or two, and then for the rest of the decade. Screwcap, INAO glass.
