Did not get a great read on this, but there is some delightful spice and intense cherry fruit. Quite pleasant drinking, but perhaps hoping for a bit more...

Wonderfully big CdP. Quite savory - I'm surprised it's only 25% syrah. Full throttle at 15% claimed ABV. Still, high-toned and has nice complexity of dark/black fruits and the slightest bit of black pepper. Smooth nonetheless - wish I'd picked up more.

Burgundy, Rhone, Provence Trip; 9/3/2018-9/15/2018 (Burgundy, Rhone, Provence, France): Tasting pour at the Domaine. Medium dark red color. Anise, tons of spices, high toned, black liqueurish fruits, drinking better now than the '15, but still young and needs another year or two. Quite long with rather impressive garrigue and pepper on the finish. 90+ to 91pt.

Star anise, clove, spiced dark sweet fruits. Earthy and herbal note. Soft tannins.

During a Southern Rhone dinner. Ripe and fruit forward. A good base line CdP but relatively simple.
