Popped and poured. Medium garnet color with hints of orange near the rim. Traditional sangiovese nose of sour red cherry, cedar cigar box, a touch of balsamic and oak. Similar flavors on the palate with ripe cherry and plum flavors, finishing with a slightly sweet, oaky note on the finish. Medium+ acid, medium tannin. Very solid tuscan blend and went well with homemade pizza. Hold or drink.

Haven't had a large number of Chianti's to rate it against. Seemed enjoyable enough. A little sweet for my taste but had a nice bouquet, average legs and fruit forward taste that pops immediately. Paired well with a hearty pasta.

Riecht nach (zu) viel Holz. Eigentlich würde ich lieber Wein trinken als einen Eichenholzwald riechen. Trotzdem recht fruchtig, noch sehr viel Tannine. Aber irgendwie von Sangiovese keine Spur. Gibt dieses Terroire keine ehrlicheren Weine her? Mein lieber Marchese, geht das nicht anders? Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass das Potential vorhanden wäre. Trotzdem, zu Spaghetti macht mir der Tropfen eigentlich Spass!
