  • Still dark colour but brick rim is evident. Dark red fruit and forest floor nose at first with tannins dominating on the palate. Then, for a short while, dark red fruit overpowers the tannins and pours out of the glass. And then tannins and acidity bring on a sudden graceful death. All this in about 2 hours in the glass.

  • no notes - but very nice. Still pretty firm tannins, needed some time to open up a bit, dried cherries, and darker fruit notes - not terribly expressive, but excellent with simple tomato sauce pasta. If I had more, would be in no rush to consume.
