  Just drank my last bottle of many last night. It was showing a little off compared to the others I've enjoyed over the years. The wine had seeped up the cork on one side to the top, so, to give it the benefit of a doubt, there may have been some flaw due to that. Still had the wonderful minerality and "sense of place" others have mentioned. The iodine note was strong, but I quite enjoy the flavour and find it compelling. Definitely a classic food wine. Went superbly with a slow-roasted shank of lamb in garlic and rosemary with a cauliflower-garlic mash. If you have more of these, lucky you, but I'd say maybe give one a swirl soon to be sure it isn't fading and nearing the end. On this bottle, I felt the finish had definitely diminished from what was normally an elegant powerhouse with long layers.

  This is in a great place right now, but unfortunately it's my last bottle. Aggressive nose of gamey meat, iodine tempered by sweet floral tones. Beautiful complex wine, all gone...
