green, peppercorn, all whole cluster, a little lean, but resolved structure. This bottle needed to stand up for several days to let the sediment rest. Overall nice and probably not too expensive on release. A good argument for aging despite a weak vintage. Or maybe a good argument for buying better vintages.

Green peppercorns are the immediate impression on the nose with earth, clay, crushed rock and spice following this. It's a bit sharp and acidic on the palate with slight front of mouth talc textured tannins and peppery spice. Doesn't carry very long. Last bottle I've got. I rather enjoyed its austerity. Hmm.

I really like this wine and could sip on it all night - a great accompaniment to dinner. Nose was dominated by ashtray mixed with dark fruits. The palate had a crisp acidic spine with a pleasing dark fruit ascending toward the finish. My only issue was varietal character - at times I felt like I was drinking a good Sonoma Pinot rather than a Northern Rhone.

Coravin fun - around the northern hemisphere ish (My place, parramatta, sydney): From Coravin. Wonderfully perfumed green peppercorn aromas dominate slight back cherry and berry and spice. More of the same on the palate is refreshed by a lovely juicy acidity. No tannins present.
