Mostly Gevrey Dinner with Wyncroft (My home - Chicago IL): Fresh red cherry aromas with some fresh herbs in background. Good quality fruit with also good concentration. Good acidity, ok tannins, I'm not sure where this wine will develop over the next few years but it's drinking nicely now...and it's from Michigan. Kudos to Jim and Raylynn for that!

Barrel sample. 100% Pinot Noir made from grapes grown with a 1 ton/acre yield. Only 60 cases made and will be released in about 1 month. Clear ruby color. A young wine with gamey notes. A nutty character with sharp bitter berry and cherry notes. 86-88 points.

Liex-dts-cru Casual Gevrey 1ers with Wyncroft (Burgundy Al's): Medium ruby red. Full herbal red cherry nose with some herb, stem, and hot notes. Nice rich flavors on a thinner frame with lots of acidity.
