A nose of some muted fruit and some spice, brick ruby in color. A Medium to full bodied red, with cherry, raspberry, some dust and spice on finish, a year of so past prime. www.winelx.com

Opened and decanted 1 hour before drinking and I immediately noticed a large crystalised sediment in the bottom of the bottle, forming a semi circle, the like of which I've not seen before. I've had this bottle laying in a temperature controlled cabinet for 3 years but I think it may have been standing for a while before that. The wine was fine, medium Burgundian colour, spicy nose of cinnamon, paprika and eucalyptus. On the palate, the raspberry and strawberry fruit is mature, rich and the feel in the mouth is smooth and medium bodied. Good length and overall, an excellent wine.

Opened yesterday. Spicy, so a mélange of things such as herbal, a little cracked pepper, a soily note in the core of the wine. Soft and gentle, drinking well now.

Red licorice and fresh mulch. Sometimes a wine's most captivating facet is a preponderant dichotomy of opposing nuances. In this case a bright red fruit profile with a woody, earthy undertone. Oddly lacking that signature Pinot spice though.

Classic RRV Pinot. Initially, mostly red cherries. After breathing for a while, the fruit profile became darker - mostly black cherries. Nice acidity and freshness. Only criticism - there was some heat from alcohol, esp. on the nose. Still young - if I had more, I would revisit in a couple of yrs.
