This isn't totally mature yet, but with a little work (despite being open for 24 hours) I found this very accessible. Wonderful Vosne spice profile, a touch deep as you might expect from an up-slope wine. Nice mineral. Loads of fruit. Not hot enough to identify this blind as an 03. I really liked this a lot. I would put a bet on this peaking in 10 years. Thanks for bringing the leftovers Burgnick ;)

Its so backward that it did not even open up on day 2. Its black fruit dominated with really closed fruit. I dont think this will get any better. A difficult vintage.

Tastevin dinner. Drank over three hours. This seemed over ripe as it was pruiney on the nose and palate. Soft texture. Medium finish. Others enjoyed this more than I did.

Darker ruby. Fairly mute nose of licorice and baking spices. Baked, syrah-like forward fruit connoting blackberries and red plums on the full-bodied palate. Finish had a lash of sweet mulberry and not much acid. May have had less-than-optimal storage.
