Darker translucent ruby color. Sharp, captivating nose of hawthorn, musky violets, red berry, iron granules, dense earth. Layers of exquisitely detailed red raspberry fruit, black plum, fine iron, and sweet dirt on the tongue. Texture of cashmere and silk. Beautifully-nuanced, bright acidity and finely-structured tannin. Long finish of red raspberry and cherry fruit cut with velvety earth and a lick of sweet iron at the end. Oh my this is extraordinary.

Cassie/Tempe Adoption Referral Celebration at Home (Home): Pop and pour. This beauty starts a little travel weary, but with a very pretty light and limpid red color. By the nose I thought I opened the Clos St. Denis. It started with a beautiful tarry, cherry, Morey nose. First sip and impression has that just opened young Burgundy, stem and clove, slight reduction feel. 45 minutes later the wine starts to blossom with pretty smell of cherry sugar. More time adds a little anise and spice. In the mouth this tart, fresh, and firm young wine just keeps expanding and finally haunts on the backside. The nose just gets better with airy bitter cherry, cherry sugar, hint of neutral wood, and some slight spice. A natural, fresh, and wonderful wine. Needs a good few years, but...impressive. 93++
