  • Tasted at the winery. Lots of peach notes on the nose (both white and yellow) along with light spices qualities. Close to medium bodied with white peach upfront, moving to yellow peach through the middle. There are tropical notes behind and very good overall richness through the mid-body that allows the wine to come across as a baby Auslese. The richness and sweetness through the middle is supported by acidity on the backside that imparts the needed balance. The wine doesn't show tremendous complexity, but the fruit, backed by the acidity and richness is showing well. Should continue to drink at this level over at least the next couple of years as long as the acidity holds out.

  • Medium color. The nose shows aromas of petrol, white peach and minerals. This is light bodied on the palate with very good concentration and real class. The medium length finish features restrained sweetness.

  • Straw color. Petrol and wet stone prominent at first, with white stone fruits coming through nicely on the palate. Low acidity, but the perfect sweetness. Wish the finish held on a bit longer.

  • Wonderful flavored of pears and apples. Luscious from start to finish. Even though there's some boytritus it's not as sweet as you would think for a late harvest wine. Think Spatlese on the spectrum, making this wine quite food friendly. Only thing negative I can say is given its bouquet and structure, you would wish for a bit more complexity in the fairly long finish. Still a very good effort.

  • Very much enjoyed this wine. Higher botrytis than other years, but the result is a harmony of flavors and textures with mint leaf and apple skin giving way to smooth honeyed notes on the palate. Some baking spice notes (cumin, allspice) and a bit of a basic (ph) element in the aftertaste? could be the food it was paired with. well worth the investment and a continually great bottling.
