Community Tasting Notes (5) Avg Score: 88.9 points

  • Bright on the nose typical Reisling floral and citrus with a high VA alcohol at the end. On the pallet concentrated and bold. The middle pallet the sweeter concentrated grape dominated with the acidity to balance. Notes of vanilla creme, tart apple pie, lemon zest and tropical fruits. Long and sweet finish.

  • Pale in color. Lush tropical and citrus fruits on the nose. Candied mango and apricot in the palate with racy acidity from initial sip to finish. A tiny bit more sugar and sweetness than I expected. Still delicious.

  • A little shy on the nose. Expressive palate.

    WSET Notes:

    Pale lemon green.

Medium intensity on the nose with lemon zest, dried peach, peach, pear, honeysuckle and wet stone. Developing.

Pronounced and offdry on the palate with honey. High acidity, medium body, medium alcohol, long finish.

Can drink now but has potential for aging.

  • A well made FLX Riesling. Not cloyingly sweet like some late harvest but nicely balanced.

  • Tasted at the winery. More distinctly tropical qualities on the nose as compared to the Semi-Dry it was tasted alongside. Between light and medium bodied with peach, moving quickly to tropical notes through the middle. These notes were paired with very good acidity on the backside that even with some of the lightly overt sweetness that the mid-body showed, was still able to preserve balance. There's a streak of acidity through the mid-body that works very well with the tropical notes and then culminates on the backside. A small step down from the 2020 in terms of overall density and complexity, but should still have several years in front of it at a high level.
