Antrim 1844 Dinner - April 2008 (Taneytown, Maryland): yellow colored, with a floral nose, that also shows some nuttines. the nose got more expressive as the wine warmed up to cellar temperature. steely, mineral-driven, and medium+ acidity, with apple, citrus and balanced toast. went very well with a salmon and pesto dish.

a very decent but not remarkable wine. No flaws, honest meursault nose, delicate hazlenut and flowers, somewhat one dimensional on the flavor profile, though the angles have rounded out and this drinks respectably now. good for what it is but nothing to write home about either.

With Cane Shrimp and Black Drum at the Upperline in NOLA this was very enjoyable. The minerality is clean and persistent, the acids could use more time to integrate. A little green on the finish that should smooth out with more bottle age. Citrus on the palate this has good complexity and will keep for a good while. As Tanzer says it is not flabby at all, a very refreshing Meursault.

A very nice and opulent white Burgundy with bracing but well-integrated acidity. Shows a few hard edges which will soften with time, and has a very nice lingering finish. Good wine for a good price, but I only bought one bottle to try and K&L is now sold out.

(Domaine Matrot Meursault Les Chevalières) Light yellow color; tight citrus nose, that opens to grapefruit and lemon; tightly wound but concentrated tart citrus, mineral palate with depth; medium-plus finish 91+ pts.

Yes, I drank a white Burgundy. Pale gold. Nose of lemon and apple pie. Taste was acidic, lemony other citrus fruits thrown in. Not bad.
