Hill Block, made in tiny quantities of 175 cases. Bottled seperately because of the terroir of red soil over limestone. Deep buttercup yellow. Fully ripe and mature with rockmelon, stonefruit, touch of cashew. Ripe fruit, no early picking here or blocking of malo etc. Classic palate structure for Lakes Folly - tastes unique to this place and Tyrrell's, Scarborough and others can't be mistaken for this. Made for a rich sauce dish eg lobster in beurre blanc sauce. Really seems to have another 5 years in it's stride although I think it has hit it's maturity peak. Yum!

Wine-Ark lunch (McLeay Street Bistro, Potts Point): Reductive struck match, butter, stone fruit, a little green almond. Medium plus intensity acidity, very stone fruit, polished oak, a little butter, mid palate grip, it's a bit linear though still quite primary.

SLDS July 2015: Toasty oak, butter, lime and straw on the nose. The palate is rich and is propped up by good acidity. An older school style, this is open already but I think will settle down a bit with more time.

Wine-Ark boys on tour - Hunter Valley 2014 - Day 2 (Hunter Valley): Aromas of butter, cream, citrus over stone fruit, quite ripe. In the mouth the wine has medium plus acidity, medium plus flavours of tangy lemon, round textured. Butter, toast, good. Age worthy.
