P&P, consumed over 2 days. Lovely wine, right from the pop. Flame-grilled beef, herbs de provence, road tar, espresso and blackberry fruit. Lots of savory flavors, which is one of the main reasons I love Syrah. This was a standout, and drinking beautifully right now, both on day 1 and day 2 (vacu-sealed in the bottle overnight). Lots of life left in this one, but I'd drink soon for maximum enjoyment. Drink now - 2027.

91/92. The range of opinions here is fun/fascinating to read. Out of the gate this wine is in a quietly beautiful spot: violet pastille and toasted herbs de Provence on the nose, with a delicate/thinly weighted palate with notes of beef reduction, violets, olives. It hummed along for the next two hours quite well, gaining slightly in weight/intensity but mostly staying constant. Was simply lovely with a bacon/preserved lemon/olive laced beef stew. (I'd say plenty of life is left here yet.)

Nose full of herbs like sage and rosemary.
Good tannin and minerality bring a black fruit almost black olive to the palate.
Not really my style
