At Nostrana. This showed far younger and less evolved than previous bottles, which came from a friend's passive SF cellar. Love this wine but from a cold cellar it still needs 3 to 5 years for my preferences, minimum.

I've found most of my 2008's are either young or in the earliest stage of their drinking windows. This was an exception. This bottle seemed quite mature, maybe a little advanced. Rich and yeasty. My last bottle. I enjoyed it, but had I more, I'd drink up. Great Q/P

Light gold color. Split bottle over brunch and dinner. Very consistent with my previous note. Nicely doughy nose with an ample chalkiness as well, bright green fruits of apple and pear, quite fresh on the nose. The palate is well constructed, the chalk stands out, well balanced to the yeastiness and tart green fruits, apple peel, spice, and a little marzipan and citrus in there too. Very poised and with a good bite too. Loved it.

(Chartogne-Taillet Champagne Brut Millésimé) Light yellow color with abundant, speedy, tiny bubbles; tart pear, tart green apple nose; delicious, delicate, focused, very minerally, saline, lime, tart pear, palate; good now but should go 10-15 years; long finish 93+ points

My last bottle, and the best by far. Delicious wine. Candied orange, a little yeast, and a texture that stuns. We loved it.

Very delicious, but not particularly different than the rest of Alex's wines, or stand out for the vintage.
