Medium garnet. Enticing nose with dried herbs, tomato paste, olive tepanade, spice and cedar with red fruit in the background. Light to medium bodied with high acidity, grippy, relatively primary with good length. The tomato element dominates with the red fruit more noticeable than in the nose. Excellent value as always with good life ahead (5y+).

Very tannic, but benefited from a quick decant, and opened up with air. Medium bodied with good acidity keeping it fresh. Lots of dark berry fruits and a decent length finish. Was probably a bit young, best to leave for 3-4 years.

Purely red fruit, great acidity and firm tannins. A little licorice, a little dark spice, some cedar. I was hoping for more tertiary notes on an '09, so I wouldn't open this right now, personally. I think it really could shine in 3-8 more years.

Medium garnet. A barolo-like nose with florality, nail polish remover, strawberry, red cherry and the signature tomato aromas present but not overwhelming. Medium-bodied with firm tannins, yet noticeably softer than when previously tasted 3 months ago, and almost high acidity. Med+ aftertaste. Seems like a good and ageworthy vintage. Great value, as always.

Medium ruby-garnet. Strawberry, red cherry, tobacco leaf and hints of tomato sauce on the nose. Medium-bodied, firm, drying tannins, medium to high acidity and a medium aftertaste. Still very primary, needs time or a rustique meat dish such as kebab. My guess is that this will evolve better than the 2009.
