Developed nose. Varietal tomatoes, black olives, mountain herbs, plums & cranberries. Medium - body, fruit more muted on palate but tomato & olive paste are to the fore, with a woody sappy midpalate. The 2007 is a step above the Boutari Naoussa of old not that this is not good.

This wine seems like a set of scaffolding without a bulding to fill it out. The smell is fruity, definite raspberry ice cream before the air gets in, then it settles into a warm fruit, almost like a sweeter, milder cranberry. The taste is fruity upfront, similar to the smell, before giving way to an allspice and cinnamon combo through the middle, and tannins running rampant over the fruit at the end as well as some of the spice back in the middle. Not totally well balenced, the fruit doesn't fill out the spice and tannins, so its a bit out of whack, but interesting and enjoyable all the same. On a day old note, the wine is much more subdued, with lighter cherry flavors and spice blending nicely. Better ballenced. A solid buy

Nice fruity nose with hints of anise and cinnamon. Mixed berry taste throughout with suprisingly long finish. Nice everyday wine.
