Lovely perfumed nose, it’s floral and light with a nice red berry note. Crunchy red cranberry fruits on the palate with a really pure raspberry juice note, a touch of zesty orange peel and a little hit of white pepper. Fresh and vibrant this is really easy to drink and very enjoyable.

This isn't your father's zin, that's for sure. I don't know as though I've ever had 12.5 zin, but for me it works. I enjoyed this style, displaying nice acidity, which is not something I'm used to seeing in zinfandel. There was no sign of jam or overly extracted fruit, but instead you get a balanced complexity of flavors all wrapped up into the body of a pinot.

An interesting wine but as Man in Black says, why have they bothered making the Zinfandel grape taste like something else? I read the comments so knew what I was buying but really didn't expect the wine to be this far from the "norm".
For £25 I won't be buying again and would prefer to spend the money of say a Geyserville.

Pale ruby colour. Lifted nose with fresh aromas of red cherry, strawberry, black plums, liquorice and hints of violets.
It is fresh in the mouth with soft silky a tannins and a medium- body. It has a juicy concentration and a persistent finish.
It is a fresh and delicate expression of Zinfandel, which, to me, makes little sense. It demonstrate this style of wines can be produced with the grape, but the question is if it is really worth it. I'd rather spend the same on a top Beaujolais. I'm being totally subjective in this assessment, but I don't think it expresses neither the terroir nor the grape typicity, it expresses the current fashion.

Light, fruit, bright, floral. And a complex, involving nose of raspberry, orange zest, liquorice and woodsmoke. Fresh and lively in the mouth. Did not know Zin could do that.
