Meo Camuzet Dinner (ST Home): The wine of the evening by some margin. Still with some very stylish oak, but at a good place in its maturation. A lovely purity of fruit that could never be described as over ripe, despite the name of the vineyard! Bright acid profile to maintain freshness throughout.

Aux Brulees is one of the most special wines from Meo Camuzet, his plot located right next to Richebourg, offering incredible richness and depth. This 2013 is approachable already - Sweet dark cherries and floral spicy nose. Superb freshness with some lovely stemmy note. Premier cru intensity with polished tannins and refreshing acidity. An underrated vintage for many reds. (90/100)

A wonderful nose of ripe cherry, sandalwood, rose petal and aniseed. It is full, rich and creamy and cut with the vintage's bright acidity. It really builds through the palate, fanning out on the finish. Still supremely youthful but not a crime to drink now.

Drank the 2013 next to the 2011 and both were surprisingly closed and unyielding. I would cellar for 5-10 more years

Spice. Rhubarb, black fruit and tannin. All wonderful elements and they need time to mellow out.
