I think this is in a great place right now. Balanced is what comes to mind...mouthwatering acid, vibrating tannins and dancing balsam wood mouthfeel. Midpalate red raspberry fruit walks a fine line of just enough on day 1 balancing the structure. Baked fruit fills out on day 2. This easily has 5-7 more years. I just found some on a small town liqour store shelf for cheap. If you can find it it's a steal!

N: Iron, minerals atop berries, vanilla coming on
P: Med, poss LM, body; Nice, almost swtish frt met by a touch of firming astringency which quite moderates by the LONG, very slightly spicy finish. Enough acidity & structure to make it through '18, but no REASON to wait that I can see. [As of early Mar '19, wine-searcher still shows several vendors in the $17-$25 range.]

tart; relatively high tannin...nice deep bouquet of dark fruit; drank after only 45 minutes of air...need min of 2 hrs, probably more...still young and might score + 2 pts higher with age.

From magnum. Medium to full body. Solid balance, not showing signs of age, dark cherry and soft spice. Drink now.

Nice structure but seems to be fading. Does not have the zinfandel spark.
