Tasted over two days - improved slightly on the second evening. Pretty unremarkable young Gamay. I appreciate is purity, but it lacks depth and focus at this stage. Not nearly as good as the 2009 and 2011 vintages of this bottling. Not sure if this will mature into anything worth the cellar space.

Fresh, tart black fruits kept in check by a savory component of cracked black pepper and olive. A creamy lactic note also. Mouthfilling, vibrant and a great qpr. I preferred this to the excellent 2011 vintage as it seemed crisper and more finely delineated. No need to wait.

From vines over 50 years old. Wonderful nose of dark fruits and minerals (graphite). The palate follows suit with smooth tanins and some roundness from the very subtle use of oak. I enjoyed this much more than a previous bottle. An excellent bottle and fantastic value for money at 12 euros.

Quite tart. Racing acidity. I guess this one could have used a bit of burgandian chaptalization .. Too tannic for it to be truly enjoyable for me right now.

A bit tart and tannic to show its best. Lots of spice.
