  Dark ruby, bright and youthful looking. Aromas of violet blossom, plum and blackberry, cedar spice. The palate has medium body, blackberry, blackcurrant, oak spice and with bright acidity and freshness on the finish. Not complex but enjoyable with a nice balance of plush fruit and acidity.

  Straightforward Rioja-Reserva, but highly delicious. Blueberrry pie with a nob of Ice cream. A bit ashy, spicy and lethery finish, with a good amount of acidity and moderate tannins. Not too complicated, but does it´s thing very well indeed.
  Improves signifigantly after decanting.

  Deep, slightly translucent dark cherry red color. Rich, dark-toned and juicy nose with aromas of sweet black cherries, pronounced toasty oak spice, some minty oak tones, a little bit of ripe blackcurrant, a hint of rustic animal character and a touch of sweet milk chocolate. The wine is quite full-bodied, ripe and pretty soft on the palate with juicy flavors of sweet black cherries, balancing woody bitterness, some chocolatey oak and cocoa, a little bit of minty character, a hint of vanilla and a touch of strawberry jam. The acidity feels mediu, which doesn't contribute as much to the structure as the moderately grippy firm tannins. The finish is quite grippy and tannic with rich and rather sweet flavors of sweet oak spice, juicy blackcurrants, some vanilla, a little bit of cherry marmalade and a hint of cocoa.
  
  A very ripe and quite tannic Rioja Reserva that emphasizes more sweet fruit and quite heavy-handed oaking over freshness and sophistication. The tannins and moderate bitterness bring some welcome balance to the wine, but overall it feels just too jammy, oaky and low in acidity for my taste. Not a particularly bad wine, but I prefer more restrained and elegant expression of Rioja over this kind of flasy and opulent style.
