It's beeen ages since I had one of these and thought it would probably be over the hill. How wrong I was! There was the sauvignon gooseberry zing, framed by grippy acid and all in balance. Super.

Rather good. Interesting flavours. Lemon hints and secondary notes from some oak ageing gave this real interest. Remains v fresh -no hurry at all. Better than the recently tasted 2016 which has a bit too much Sauvignon Blanc for my palate.

There is a lot going on in the glass, fruit, minerals, spices. A very nice wine indeed.

The sauvignon tone seems to be getting stronger - I miss the grip of the first bottles

Seemed a bit simple after the amazing Coddington, but in the glass the lifted sauvignon married with the rich chenin to give a lovely harmonious wine.
